Fun and Games With Presidential Pardons

Today was the day the President participated in the light-hearted “turkey pardons”. While this is all in good fun, I couldn’t help but think of a few other, SERIOUSLY overdue pardons. So, while “May” and “Flower” (or as Vice President Cheney calls them, “Lunch” and “Dinner”) wing their way to DisneyWorld, safe in the knowledge they won’t be obtaining a crispy tan this year, let’s spare some thought for these people:

Lt. Col. Chessani, who, along with the rest of the Haditha Marines, was slandered in the public eye, adjudicated guilty of committing cold blooded murder of Iraqi civilians and his guilt proclaimed from the steps of the Capitol by Jack Murtha, thus denying Chessani his Constitutional right of innocent until proven guilty. Since Murtha’s proclamation, it has been proven the Haditha incident bore no resemblance whatsoever to the story published by written by Tim McGurk and published by Time Magazine, leading to the outcry and the false accusations–all in the name of slandering and libeling our forces by the MSM to further their agenda showing of our soldiers are nothing more than killing machines.

Lewis “Scooter” Libby, sentenced for “lying” regarding the non-covert CIA agent Valerie Plame, when it was Richard Armitage who actually “outed” her. Libby was guilty of nothing more serious than mis-remembering. Victim of the Democratic Congress’ witch-hunt.

Agents Ramos and Compean, sentenced to an outrageous term in federal prison for doing their job. Let’s not forget the prosecutor, Richard Sutton, gave immunity to the man shot in the ass by these agents–and that particular illegal alien drug dealer is 1) suing the US Government now; 2) disappeared and 3) finally was found and indicted this past week for committing the crime he was shot for by these agents–again. The crime? An illegal alien smuggling drugs across the border. And yet–the idiots in Washington think they can “recruit” plenty of border patrol agents for their immigration reform after treating border patrol agents in this manner.

So, President Bush, how about some REAL pardons? For these men–victims of the dems witch hunts, guilty of doing their jobs, guilty of forgetting facts, victims of self-serving traitors such as Murtha?

Cut out the games–pardon these men. All of them, fully and completely. Then prosecute the real criminals–the 110th Congress, John Murtha, Valerie Plame, Joe Wilson, Richard Armitage and Richard Sutton.
